To carry out maintenance work, a jumbo block will be taken for five hours from 10.35 hrs to 15.35 hrs on Sunday, 12th August, 2012 on Up Local Lines (i.e. slow line) between Santacruz stations and Mumbai Central.
During the period, all Up slow trains will run on Up through line (i.e. fast corridor) between Santacruz and Mumbai Central stations. These diverted trains will not halt at Matunga Rd, Elphinstone Road,Lower Parel and Mahalaxmi stations for want of platform, hence , passengers can travel in opposite direction for their destinations between Bandra and Mumbai Central stations. All 12-car slow services will take double halt at Lower Khar Road and Mahim Jn. stations.
Level crossing No. 19 between Khar and Bandra will remain closed for road traffic during block period.
Due to the block, some Up and Down local trains will remain cancelled.
