VIGILANCE

We seek your assistance, not to succumb, to the desire of achieving favours by greasing the palms of corrupt staff. But, to bring up such matters, to the notice of the Vigilance Organisation of the Western Railway. We do feel, that vigilance is a function of the management and it is the responsibility of officers, supervisors & staff to ensure, that the work under their jurisdiction is performed with integrity and transparency, within the established system. 

Objectives:

•          Eradicate corruption and malpractice

•          Institute preventive vigilance

•          Suggest/recommend ways to develop systems and procedures

•          Bring improvement in work culture and ethics

•          Create vigilance awareness

•          Develop transparency and minimise discretionary powers

 The Western Railway is committed to provide a clean and efficient Rail service to the public.  Should you come across any instance of malpractice or corruption in any sphere of Railway working, please take the trouble of informing us.  It will be helpful if you could note all the relevant details like description of the train/place, time and date and designation of the Railway personnel concerned, name and address of the witness, etc.  The information would be treated as confidential but the Railway may have to seek your co-operation to tender evidence during the course of the investigation/inquiries to help bring the culprits to book.  Our addresses are:-
